About Luke

Luke attended Olds College Farrier Program in 2005 graduating in the top 5 of his class. After years working throughout Manitoba and Ontario, he was invited to sit on the board for the American Association of Professional Farriers (2016-2019).  Luke now resides in Thunder Bay, ON with his wife and two daughters.  Together they run a horse training and lesson facility we well as the farrier business.

At Luke Farmer Farrier Services, our vision drives who we are and exemplifies our commitment to our clients and patients.   We understand that each of our equine patients has a unique set of needs for customized hoof care and maintenance.  Our mission is simple......keep horses healthy for life.

Mentorship Program

Luke has been privilidged enough to have career mentors that have helped him throughout his career and it is something he believes strongly in passing on to others.  He offers a mentorship program for May through October for a variety of lengths of time.  Housing possible.  Full or half days.  Co-op eduation though the highschool also available.
